The transportation of any animal can be a huge undertaking with a great deal of preparation needed to ensure a smooth process, from paperwork and permits, to equipment and vehicles. This course will take you through the logistics of transporting a great ape within a facility, between zoos, internationally and transporting for release. You will review case studies from the transport of all four great ape species and hear from industry experts on their experiences moving great apes between facilities and in the field.
